Daniel Widrig works as an architect, designer and artist with Zaha Hadid Architects in London, England. Autodesk® Maya® software is his main tool of choice for the development of projects ranging from art objects, sculpture, and furniture to much larger projects such as architectural proposals and the master plans for entire city structures. In his private work, as well as his work for Zaha Hadid, he has won many prizes and awards and is internationally known and published. Projects have been exhibited at ArtBasel, MOMA, and in other art and design galleries in Europe, Asia and the US. Many of the architectural competitions Daniel has won with Zaha Hadid are now either in development, in construction, or in a phase of contract negotiations. Daniel never tires of showing others how they can innovate using Autodesk Maya software. He uses it not only as a design tool to model and visualize form, but also as generative design software, as an analytical tool, and as a tool that opens up new worlds of possibilities to architects, planners and designers.
