I use Autodesk SketchBook mobile for iPhone, when I create some text and touch the text input icon button, the program is automatically turned off. can your guys solve this prob??

As he says- you simply cannot add text, it crashes when you hit the ‘A’ icon to modify text.

I’ve seen a few of these crashes, but the problem is that for some reason after the 2nd/3rd try it doesn’t crash anymore and we can’t debug it !
App bug or OS bug ???

If you could please specify:
- device model, iOS version
- steps to make it crash: font, size, layer count, saved or new document, ...
Seems that it has to do with touching the A button and the slider at the same time or something like that.
We have tried really hard to reproduce it, but again, seems that once it works, it doesn’t crash anymore.

If you could help us reproduce it, then we would be able to fix it.

I use SketchBook on the iPhone 4 & I have yet to be able to enter text. I have tried perhaps a several dozen times or so- in empty layers, layers with pictures, with multiple layers open, the only layer in a new project- it just won’t have it. Thanks for your reply, I hope it can get sorted.

ipod touch 32gb 4th gen with ios5 still crashes after sketchbook mobile update to 2.1. if you need me to test anything email me.

steps:-
1 start app
2 press little circle thing on blank screen
3 press text thing at top (the capital A)
4 press the black/grey big capital A at bottom to enter text
5 app gone it has crashed.

no layers, drawings or anything just start app and enter text (it also happens if i actually do any drawing which is very annoying)

all other functions work (rotate, re-size, color etc.)

what else do you need?

It is exactly as freespirit says, and always has been:

- open new project.
- open menu.
- select create text.
- select enter text.
- sketchbook mobile crashes.

don’t know what to say— a downturn on what is in most every other respect a reliable & useful app.

i’d send you my phone, but i use it far too much— perhaps if you sent me the new iPhone 4S or an iPad 2 i’d give it to you.

ok we’ve had another update and it still crashes in exactly the same way. this would be fine if it was a free app but we paid for this version.

I’m having exactly the same problem, it’s so abysmal that I would rather have a refund than suffer a program that doesn’t do what it says it should.  I registered here to see if it could be resolved but from the posts here it’s obvious that nothing is being done about the text problem.  I’m still hoping for resolution of the problem but if not how do I obtain a refund?
PS iphone 4 and Sketchbook downloaded Jan 2012.

Have been in touch with Ivan Pinzon who has found the problem (to do with the language files I believe) and has uploaded an update to Apstore (2.3.1) which cures this problem.  Thank you Ivan.[size=4][/size]
