Hi everybody :)

I have a problem with extraction ambient occlusion on objects with ptex. I can’t apply extracted ambient to diffuse channel.

Dialogbox after trying importing ptex file:

“Mudbox can olny import ptex files that contain quad-only meshes.” - strange - i can paint on it but can’t import extracterd ptex file

Where can i find any documentation about this issue?

greets

zunio

Mudbox has a few limitations on how it extracts / imports ptex files, and I believe I remember that to be one of them. I’m sure their ptex support will improve in the future. In the meantime, I’d try and quadrify that mesh, then transfer your paint from the old mesh to the new one using the Transfer details function, then you should be good to go.
