FYI,

Just gave this talk again in Japan and it went well. Kind of tricky going through interpreters, but the questions were good afterword, so somebody must have been listening. Demo’d it in 2009 RC1 which was WAY cooler for doing Python stuff.

I super appreciate those who said they got something out of it and it has inspired them to take up Python. Gets me pumped for doing another someday.

P.S. - More Python rants at my interview over here:

Jason,

Is your Master Class DVD available for immediate download anywhere?  Of course, I’ll pay, but LuLu says it will take days.

Thanx!

Just bought and downloaded.  One file 8.5MB, and the other video file is 256MB.

I’ll pour through it tonight.  If I have any questions, i’ll post to this thread - maybe you’ll still be around :)

Boy, the on-line docs aren’t so good with MOBU....

It took me hours to figure out how to render a frame to a JPEG, now i’m trying to transform model coordinates of a model to image coordinates in the rendered frame.

So, I hope your docs will help :)

Thanx!

If you’re good with math, you should be able to calculate that from the rotation/position of the camera and its properties. Since this is an extremly common calculation in many cg application (all games f.ex.) the formulas shouldn’t be too hard to find.
