Can you use two actors to drive one skeleton? example having the two actors drive a dragon rig, have one actor drive the wings, and the other actor drive the legs and forearms of the dragon. This would be for realtime demo of motionbuilder with our mocap system.

Hi
Through some fiddling, yes.  The only method I know is to have one actor charactorised into the dragon, and the other to control a skel that you will later hide.  Use a system of constraints to drive the other appendages of the dragon by copying the bone rotations from the hidden character.  It won’t really offer advanced retargeting, but to run a multi-limbed character it’s a workable solution.  When we did this (ages ago, it’s dim in my memory) I think we had to create an additional set of bones to act as an intermediate between the actor driven (hidden) charactor and the destination (dragon).

Cheers,

Rich
