Hi everyone,

Is it possible to use .bip mocap files in motion builder?

I have a huge stock of them and they’re really important for an animation i’m doing. I’ve tried to load the .bip file onto a skeleton in 3DS Max then export as a .FBX but when it comes to loading the control rig I get some issues.

Ross

To create the fbx mocap data from the .bip file, i created a 3ds max biped in max then loaded the .bip mocap data onto it. I then exported it as an FBX file using FBX200602_MB75.

Almost got there.

If i adjusted the pull and reach settings on the skeleton then they follow the motion capture skeleton alot better.

Still not right though.

I think the problem now lies with fiddling with the settings for in the input character skeleton.

If anyone has any thoughts on the matter i’d deeply appreciate it.
