Hi.
I’m currently animating a quadraped and I’ve noticed something odd when using MotionBlend.

I alt-drag all my skeleton into MotionBlend and everything is as normal. I can tile takes etc.
(see bottom image)

Then I navigate away from the MotionBlend panel to check something else (such as another take, or the properties of a camera, etc.)
I’ve found that when I come back to the MotionBlend panel the back end of my quadraped is missing.
(see top image)

This is easily fixed by alt-dragging the skeleton back into MotionBlend again, but the point is I shouldn’t have to. I’ve never seen this problem before in 2 years of using Motionbuilder.

Has anyone come across this before? I’m guessing it might be something to do with the skeleton, or a program bug. I’ve already tested the skeleton from max and back into max, and also exporting to a seperate viewer, and everything is as it should be.

I’m using Motionbuilder 7.5 extension 2, with the HotFix applied.

++UPDATE++
I’ve discovered that I can also get this to work if I alt drag in the reference node as well as the skeleton (see quadraped3.jpg)
However this is not good for a long term solution as the reference node shouldn’t be animated!

Thanks.
