I’m using truespace 5 to model my characters, and after exporting it to obj for rigging in motionbuilder I’m confronted with the mapping list.  Now how can I reconcile my model with what’s needed in MB?

Here’s my model with the component parts highlighted in Deep Exploration 5:
Body
01bodylx8.th.jpg

Vest
02vestga5.th.jpg

Head
03headug8.th.jpg

Feet
04leftandrightbootskf5.th.jpg

Hands

The whole body, with the armor displayed and nothing highlighted:

Want I want to kno is if it is possible to use the naming conventions I have in place now to rig and skin the character or am I going to have to split my polygons even further than what I’ve done now.

If anyone’s used poser’s setup room, is it possible for me to use a similar method; where I import the mesh assign a skeleton and select the polygons I want to associate with that skeleton either individualy, with a lasso, or by polygon groups.
