Hello,

I’m having some problems with Mocap/MotionBuilder/3DSMax. I’ve got an actor assigned to the markers in MotionBuilder and it works fine. I then imported in a skeleton from Max, used the new 3DS Max Biped Template in Motionbuilder and assigned it to the actor and it worked perfectly. I go to export it and I get an error saying the BVH files can’t have spaces in their names which is the little nodes in the hierarchy view (BIP 001 ect...) I went through and got rid of the spaces, it exported, tried to load it on to a biped in Max and got 3 swift errors stating that the naming conventiones weren’t supported, some of the nodes were missing (which they weren’t) and then that there was an error loading the file.

Is this me being stupid or is something up? Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

I got it working if I exported the skeleton as a FBX file instead of BVH which, while it works, is a pain. I could really do with someone helping me with the BVH format.

Thanks

It doesn’t explain how to export to a BVH just to a FBX but FBX files are working fine at the moment so they will do.

Thanks for the reply.
