Hi !

Is there a way to freeze the translate coordinates like in Maya?

F.e.:
I’ve got a null for an eye control at 0.78,160.11,39.43 which is its default position, I want to find a way to make this coordiantes be my default position ( what I mean is to make this position be the 0.0,0.0,0.0 )

thanks

Hi!

There is a way, but you have to enter the offset numbers manually.
Select the null and set transform xyz to 0,0,0. The null will translate either to the world origin or to its parent’s location.
With the null still selected, open a property view.
Make sure ‘All (Type)’ is selected in the drop down list.
Click the arrow next to ‘Transformation Pivots’ then ‘Rotation Pivot’ then ‘Manual Offset’.
Next to ‘Rotation Offset’ enter your transform offset values 0.78, 160, 39.43
Your null should translate back to that position and your local transform values should still read 0,0,0.

Hope this helps.
