Can somewhone tell me what are advantages and disadvantages in MotionBuilder over Face Robot(Softimage) for facial motion capture.I am considering of buying OptiTrack for face mocap.

Motionbuilder is realtime, but the drformation is only blendshape/ cluster shapes, facerobot has a jelly fish solver, much nicer, but very slow....

Optitrack is good for body stuff but , for facial I would use another solution.

can you transfer with FBX format FaceRobot animation and rig from Softimage to another 3D package ?

yes and know, you can get out a blend shape bake to maya, and a simlple bone rig with no fleshy eyes etc, best to be kept in softimage me thinks, hard to retime in a pipline and maintain FR quality
