What is your opinion… best for facial setups, blend shapes or clusters?

Hi ga1lyons,
You can use either Bone or Blend Shapes you’ve setup for lip sync in MotionBuilder.
You should look at the Character Face setup in MotionBuilder- you can specify either Cluster Shapes(Bones) or Blend Shape targets which you can control, through the sliders you’ve setup. The joint skinning(and animation) or Blend Shape targets can be setup in Maya/3dsMax and will import to MotionBuilder through FBX plugin.
