Hi,
I didn’t see a MoBu 2010 forum, so I’m posting this here.

In MoBu 2010, the zoombar is awfully slow/unresponsive even with very simple scenes.
Our animators have different graphic cards, ranging from G-Force 8800 to Quadro 3700, and everybody has the same problems with it.
And everybody is using the latest drivers.

Is anybody else having these kind of issues?

thanks!

Manu

Hi Manu,

If you have Subscription Support setup, you should contact Autodesk Support so that they can investigate this issue. The problem sounds like it may be specific to a particular Video Card/Layout or scene setup- test switching Layouts from Ctrl+Shift+1/2/3/4 or Display Mode in MotionBuilder to see if it resolves the problem.

Best Regards,

Lee

Hi Lee,
we don’t pay for support anymore which is why I am posting here.

We have certified MoBu graphics cards with the latest drivers, and everybody at our company is getting this same problem.
Also, just for your info, I used to be on the MoBu dev team.

it happen since MB2010 after QT UI integration. Actually you can call it a bug or regression.

Any plans on making a patch for 2010?

Yeah I get the same thing here, the start /end sliders move fine, but moving the bar is slowww.

I am sure it will be fixed but it would be nice if there was a service patch since it is not realistic for people to upgrade mid production.

We get the issue also when resizing the start end sliders.

Hi there!

We couldn’t reproduce it as unresponsive but we did notice that it was a little sticky. Bug was logged.
Would this prefent someone from working? we didn’t think so, but are looking into it, to see how
we could improve it.

If you have a subscription to support setting, you should contact Autodesk support to enable them to investigate this matter. This may sound for a specific video card / layout or on-site installation and testing of switching from Ctrl + changes in the layout of MotionBuilder +1/2/3 / 4 or the display mode to see if it solved the problem…
