Let’s say I have a character face in my Motionbuilder scene that an animator has already been working with.

Now let’s say the character face requires an update of some sort.  Normally I would merge the new face (named the same) into the scene and uncheck “animataion” in the merge options.  That way i would hope to have both the updated character face and the old animation working together in the same scene.

However when I try to do this it appears that the face is no longer “connected” to the Mobu Character Face.  All the sliders that have been animated still move like they are supposed to but nothing is happening with the face.

Is there any way I can update the character face without blowing away the old animation?
