Heya Fellow MB Users,

I’ve been a mocap addict for the past two years, using Vicon iQ to capture and MotionBuilder 7.5 and then 2009 to process the data for Maya. Been feeling pretty confident up until I tried a quadruped.

Found some sample dog C3D files online and the Autodesk PDF tutorial on setting up/characterizing a quadruped, however am having trouble getting the Motion BUilder Actor in between the C3D and Maya joint system/MB Character.

I’ve found on here that there is no ‘quadruped motion builder actor’ and to simply use the standard biped actor and this is where I come unstuck.

Anyone have any links/tutorials/ideas on how to get the quadruped driven by mocap?

Then the next question is, does anyone have a Vicon VST for a quadruped? Or again, do you use the biped VST on a dog?

Many thanks for any help you can offer!

Hi Mocapds, did you find any answers to your questions? I need to convert the c4d dog mocap to maya bbut no available template in MB. Did you do it with the biped? Thanks
