Will Motionbuilder 2009 be out for OSX anytime soon ... or ever?
I bought it when it was an OSX app, then it was suddenly dropped w/ no explanation.  Now I’m feeling like I
invested in a dead product because my pipeline is all Mac.

Hi Jeff,

As soon as I have an official statement on our plans with MAC, I’ll post it here for you.  But, right now, I have no news.

Bye for now,
Kelly

...silence speaks volumes, or something like that.
4 year silence in this case, what a disgrace.

These people wont reply to any request by any Mac user because they don’t care. They have little or no interest in building MotionBuilder for the Mac despite many community colleges and four year schools teach Maya and the rest of the Autodesk animation suite on Mac. This is to say nothing about the use of countless professionals that use the Mac for production of their work. Autodesk still believes they are the customer and you should bow to their wishes. I can only say that in the early 90’s there was another company in our industry that had this backward mentality and that was QuarkXpress. Look where that got them. Now much of the industry uses InDesign and Quark has been pushed aside. Learn this lesson Autodesk Apple users are here and we will use good products but we will not be forced into windows machines just for you. If another company comes along with a good product that we can use and supports that product we will go to them and you will be left out in the cold. History does repeat itself make sure you learn that lesson and don’t make the same mistake twice. “Pride comes before the fall.”

For those of you at Autodesk in the Canadian HQ ask the Vancouver Canucks about that quote they know all about it.

Hi All,

As I have posted previously, I have no news about MotionBuilder on the MAC.  As soon as I know something definite, I will post it on this forum.

Regards,
Kelly
