Hi guys,

did anyone of you experience the same issue?

I have a clean scene and add a camera. In the navigator pane I can select any camera without any problems. All properties appear and everything runs smoothly.
But if I do the same in a different scene with a character in it, as soon as I double click on any camera the whole thing crashes.
I tested 2009/2010 32bit and 64bit.

We got the character as a mb2011 file and I used the FBX converter to change it to mb2009. Could this cause the failure somehow deep in the fbx file?

This is pretty strange.

Thanks for any help,

Chris

Hi,

We are experiencing the same problems here. Cameras make Mobu 2009 crash. Did you find any answer or workaround ?

I used the FbxConverter 2009 to generate these FBX files from DAE files. It seems that the problem doesn’t come from the camera itself but from some other data in the scene. If we export the rest of the scene to Maya then back in Mobu, it doesn’t crash anymore.

Anyway, I have contacted Autodesk from my work. They are working on it. I’ll keep you posted.

Hi Gilles

I found this week a workaround.
If you want Mobu not to crash anymore on selecting the perspective camera, just open a new clean scene and merge all the components from the crashing scene except the last section of the merge dialog (see attachment).
You wont have any camera you might have imported from other software, but it wont crash when selecting perspective.
It might be the camera switcher but i’m not sure.
