error message in 3ds max when importing a file from motionbuilder.

Hi. I am doing the last of the tutorials in Motionbuilder 9 , (3ds max-MotionBuilder Interoperability , Importing 3dsmax scenes to Motionbuilder) and I get an error message, “ File Opened Failed: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MotionBuilder2009\tutorials\Basics.max . .. “ when trying to open this file in 3ds max. ...any ideas ??  I’m using 3DS MAX9 SP2 and MotionBuilder 2009.



ASUS EXTREME BLITZ 1600MHZ DDR3
INTEL Q6700 2.6 (STOCK)
4GIG CORSAIR 1333MHZ DDR3
3DS MAX9 SP2 32BIT.
MOTIONBUILDER 2009

...in more straight forward tterms, when I go to open this particular file ( .max file ) in 3DSMAX , I get the error message ,"File Opened failed....blah blah , ..is this typically a corrupted file ?
