Since there doesn’t seem to be a 2010 forum specifically, I’ll post here.

Does anyone have a way of baking in tags into individual animations (takes) that can be read in to a game engine? So if I have an animation that needs to trigger a visual effect at frame 106, is there any way for an animator to place that tag data in the animation that will be exported to the FBX file and be able to be parsed?

We’ve tried a couple things (Time Markers are Scene global, and not specific enough; it looks like custom string properties are stripped out by the FBX importer in the SDK) but without any luck.

Thanks,

VJG
