Hi all,

I’m doing some UV mapping on railing posts for a baby’s crib and I’ve run into some trouble. Most of the UV shells match up with counterparts so I can move+sew them easily, but there are a few shells that won’t move+sew to each other even though when you select edges you can see that they match up on the model. I’ve tried merging edges and vertices on the geometry to no avail and as far as I can tell the model has been combined as much as possible.

Please take a look at the link below for a video to see what I’m talking about. The texture is not the final one I’ll be using but it is a good placeholder so I can scrub the UV shells around on it and see what’s going on in the model.

Thanks for any ideas you might have - the rails were created by making and scaling poly cubes, then I removed the top and bottom caps, and some were created by duplicating but most of the duplicated ones move+sew just fine - it is just a couple of pieces that aren’t working.

Oh, and sorry about the sound quality on the video, I had to amp up the microphone boost a lot to make my voice heard. I also have a cold :-P
