Hey All,

I’m moving from max to maya and would like to get others’ input on how to achieve a couple of modeling commands.

The two I’m missing the most are Flow Connect and Set Flow. Can either of these be achieved in the same fashion that max does, either natively or with some sort of mel script?

TIA

What do those tools do exactly?
(not all of us are experienced in Maya ‘and’ Max)…

Go to 3.30 or so and you’ll see a demo of Flow Connect. Set flow is basically that same operation only used on an already created group of edgeloops.

This link is to a set of scripts. One of the scripts in particular “cly_gesturePolySplitCtx.mel” behaves like 3ds Max Flow Connect. It is very nice!  Too bad it’s not standard in Maya.

Nice thanks Valen!

I’ll give that a go, it looks like it’s what I’m looking for!
