Hello community,

I have encountered a little problem which makes me wonder if this is an known issue or not. I am trying to keyframe photon intensity on an area light but it seems that it does not work properly.

If I set for instance a key on frame one with a value of one and another on frame 24 with a value of 6000 and key that, it seems everything is fine when sliding through the timeslider. Also the graph editor shows me the keys set correctly.

But when i disselect the light and reselect it and go to frame one it takes the last value of 6000! We were discussing this in our company here but we cant figure out why this is happening. I would be glad if anyone has an idea about this.

Thanks in advance

Cheers

i have never tried keying the photon intensity and why would anyone wanna do that?

If the animation doesn’t get keyed, try using expressions for the same animations. write a code that helps to achieve the same target.

Thanks for your suggestion but we already tried that with the same result. The key somehow takes the very last value.
To your “question”:First: Just because you did not need it, that does not mean its not necessary at all! ;)

Second: Because its keyable!
