The source also said that 3ds Max will be becoming 3ds Max Design only. Has anyone else heard anything of this nature, and if so, where does that leave us - the 3ds Max user? Truly there is hardly any difference between 3ds Max and 3ds Max Design, but where would that leave us as subscribers? At this point it's only hearsay, but truly I see this a strong possibility given the source; plus, it kind of makes sense. My personal opinion is that I've always thought it was silly to have two different versions of a software that's for all intent purposes identical, but I view it as a marketing campaign by AD to lesson the fears of the design industry towards the software (3ds Max). Anyway, don't take this as me trying to start an inflammatory thread because that is not the case; I'm just interested if anyone else has heard of something similar. 2012-02-02T09:23:55+01:00 3ds Max User Group in Minneapolis, MN - 1/19/12, 6:30pm http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-3ds-max/news-and-announcements/3ds-max-user-group-in-minneapolis-mn---11912-630pm/page-last/ http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-3ds-max/news-and-announcements/3ds-max-user-group-in-minneapolis-mn---11912-630pm/page-last/#When:09:34:52Z I wanted to let everyone know that the Minnesota 3ds Max User Group is having its next meeting on Thursday, January 19th at 6:30pm.
