At this time there is no information available about when any Autodesk product may or may not receive Iray.

nice, looking forward to it.
Just glancing through the sys. requirements, I noticed that only WinXP x32/x64 and Vista x32/x64 are listed. Any particular reason no explicit Win7 support, or is that just considered Vista+ :)

Is it a typo in the Max Entertainment pack that transfer between Maya and Mudbox exists… What about Max?
We don’t have that feature at this time. It only exists between Maya and Mudbox.

Yeah that page appears to have some other issues like referring to 3ds max 2010, and not listing Win7 as compatible for any of the apps. If you look at the application system requirements you will see Win7 listed for all, and IE7 or greater required, not IE6 or greater like the ECS page.

That would be my guess. I honestly don’t know, but haven’t seen any feature like that in my testing.
I am more worried that *a lot of the pages on that section of the site are titled “Autodesk Maya”. Is Chris V trying to get some extra publicity on his product at no cost, or something? :P

*Correction: Not all just the main page, 3ds Max ECS, Kynapse 7, and Human IK 4.5 pages.

March 25th… Grrrr
I’m switching from Softimage to Max, I already have Mudbox. I want the entertainment pack so right now I have no idea of what I should do purchase wise!
I dont want to buy Max, then have to pay a lot more for the Entertainment pack, and as I have Mudbox, there might be an upgrade plan.
Any ideas on what plans will be available and when we can purchase them.

I would contact a reseller in your area. They should be able to tell you what your options are going from Softimage+Mudbox to ECS. I honestly have no idea what the purchase/switching options are. However, an Authorized reseller should be able to give you all that info. Also, the ECS were created with the 2010 releases, so you should be able to purchase now and get the new version. However, I would definitely check with a reseller before making any purchase decisions.

Material grouping with color coding in the new unreal-like node material editor (slate editor) - GREAT.
Customizable ribbon - SUPER, but will I be able to color code this as wel ? (request) - maybe a subtle hue / module ?
