Rhino corner issue

Hello!

Anyone here uses Rhino to do your model and import your finished model to 3ds max for rendering and texture?

I am having an issue on Rhino where all the corners of the model looks edgy and awful and not very smooth. I use a tool in Rhino call FilletEdge. I wanted to know if I import my model into 3ds max, will all the corners look better and smooth when rendering?

I have attached an image for you to see.

Any idea how to get my corners looking better in Rhino or in Max.

I haven’t used Rhino for over 10 years, so I know nothing about it (I seem to remember it was nurbs based?) How does the object come into Max...Editable Mesh?  What file format was used for the transfer?  What were the export options in Rhino?

It looks like there could be faces missing.  Or there could be faces flipped.  Or maybe the faces are there and the problem is smoothing groups.  Or, there could be a math precision problem if the object was a long way from the origin (0,0,0).  Can you zoom in and see if faces are indeed missing, etc?

EDIT:  Oops..I misread your post.  I thought you had already imported, and that was a rendering from Max!

If it looks like that in Rhino it is doubtful it will improve after importing.  You would be way better off to model from scratch in Max.
