You MUST zip .max files in order to attach them. See this post.

Sorry man, your scene contains objects (brepobject.dlo) that aren’t supported in my version of Max.

Well, a little update on this problem. I realized I ran out of time and got over my head, unfortunately this resulted in me having to turn down the project for them, and for them to get someone else to do the job. I’ve directed the new guy to this forum in order for him to see where I experienced problems. Hopefull he can do a better job than I managed to do.

I am sorry for not finishing this, and I realize I might have taken up some peoples valuable time.

Thanks for all the help and quick answers though, it made me learned a couple of new things. And will have helped me in advancing within my knowledge of 3DS Max.
