I completely agree.
Also didn't autodesk think about the googleability of the name composite? Go ahead and google "3ds Max Composite," or "Maya Composite." See any valid results? Not many eh? Especially with 3ds Max Composite, since 3ds Max has a Composite Map. I bet if the name was 3ds Max Toxik or 3ds Max Komposite or something like that, there would be no problems finding information about it with a simple google search.

Id like to suggest the following.....
to make toxik (yes yes, call it composite... Ill stick to toxik), anyway... to make it more accessible to users, and make it more likely for adoption... I think you should take the time and implement mediafile support..
ie: mov, mpg, avi? and audioformats...
currently I have to go through 3rd party to make hd footage useable i toxik.... and if I have to do any sort of audio matching, im just out of luck....
and again missing the option to output to some sort of mediafile, for dailies is just....
besides these two shortcomings its a great comp tool.
