Complex variants and configuration logic with LumoLogic

As promised in my previous blog, I would like to introduce a new plug-in for Showcase called LumoLogic.
LumoLogic gives you the possibility to handle complex alternatives in the easy way of a configuration. Usually alternatives are tied to a company specific logic and most of the time even described in the PDM system. LumoLogic lets you describe the product logic in the external editor called LumoLogic Manager. You can then link the Showcase geometry to the product logic and already a configurator is ready. The GUI is automatically created and you can select every variant you want and which is proven by the product logic.
This is how it works:

1. Define the logic in LumoLogic
2. Connect Showcase nodes with LumoLogic nodes
3. Export the description file
4. Open the LumoLogic Tab in Showcase and import the description file

After this, a complete HTML interface is assembled and loaded which reacts exactly as in the external logic file. The whole thing really gets interesting when changes come into the game. By just editing the external logic file, the re-import into Showcase takes care that the displayed model is always up to date.
Check out the Lumographics WEB page for more information about LumoLogic:www.lumo.de/index.php
From there you can download LumoLogic Light and try it with your Showcase 2011 version.
